Here in the world of state and local history, we are often pushed beyond the boundaries of our own training and experience. Museum educators suddenly have to be experts in fundraising. Administrators need a crash course in conservation. Catalogers are asked to give tours. And hey, we can all be flexible! But, a little guidance would go a long way – and here’s your chance to offer your colleagues assistance in your area of expertise.
Ask a Colleague is a new AASLH program for anyone who has a job-related question but would like more personal attention than a list serve can provide. If you feel you have expertise in one or more of the areas listed below, please consider submitting an application to become a Specialist. You don’t have to be a seasoned veteran to qualify! Follow the link to the Ask a Colleague Specialist application to learn more. Once you have completed the application form, please submit it to AASLH along with your current CV or resume.
